Our services to schools and colleges

MATRIX quality accredited

Trafford Connexions provides high quality information, advice and guidance (IAG). Our mission is to ensure all young people, parents, carers, schools and others whom we provide services for, have access to the highest quality IAG; that it is free from bias; is up to date; and is provided by highly qualified and well trained staff.

The service is MATRIX quality accredited and our customers and partners are integral to shaping service delivery. The service will raise aspirations and empower service users to reach their potential. We support schools to meet the latest government guidance on provision of Careers Guidance and contribute to outstanding OFSTED rated outcomes.

We have a proven track record of delivering effective, high quality services and are proud to work alongside schools and colleges to help Trafford maintain the low percentage of young people not in education, employment or training (NEET). We work closely with schools and colleges to create a bespoke delivery plan that uses both one-to-one and group sessions as well as supporting schools with organising careers days.

Inspiring IAG is a Licensed Awarding Body able to deliver the national quality award The Quality in Careers Standard. Recently having moved from a "validated model" to a being "licensed" to deliver the quality award, and welcome this development. We are a national provider of this single national CEIAG quality award. It provides a good practice framework for organisations that work with young people, which includes, schools, colleges, and other learning providers. All current award holders are still valid under this model.

Inspiring IAG was developed in Manchester and we are one of the national providers now of The Quality in Careers Standard. We work across Greater Manchester and the UK.

User surveys

Every year we ask young people that we work with about their experiences of the Connexions Service. The young people are asked a series of questions about their “Connexions experience” to establish if the service meets their needs. The reports show that respondents have a positive experience with their Connexions Adviser. The service is very proud of the results and it is a tribute to all the Connexions Advisers that satisfaction levels are so high.

You can read the reports from the last few years in full below:
