Connexions Trafford recognises that parents and carers play an important role in influencing the decisions that their children make. Research has shown that parents/carers are the main influence on their child / dependent’s future plans.
We would like to work with you to help prepare your child / dependent for the future. Our aim is to make sure that your child / dependent gets the best information, advice and support so that they make realistic life choices.
Possible routes available for your child / dependent
- apprenticeships
- diplomas / BTECs (vocational qualifications)
- employment
- foundation learning
- general qualifications (GCSEs / A Levels)
Our Personal Advisers will:
- provide information, advice & guidance on courses, qualifications & careers
- help young people find jobs and training
- help to select further and higher education courses
- act as an important link between teachers, youth workers, social workers and health workers.
They will also work with other specialist organisations to help young people:
- with learning difficulties or disabilities
- experiencing problems with issues like relationships, drugs, money and accommodation.
Please note: Information kept on your child / dependent in order to provide them with services will be kept confidential and will only be disclosed with their permission unless there is a risk of harm to themselves or others.
